Trojans fall short at state finals

March 25, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS — The one thing Triton boys basketball head coach Jason Groves wanted to avoid, happened.
The Trojans fell behind early, and despite a Class A State Finals record-setting fourth quarter, never quite recovered in a 55-50 loss to Borden at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Saturday.
Making its fourth appearance in the state finals since 2008, Triton finished 4 of 16 from the field in the first half and never led against the Braves, although Triton’s second-half switch from man to a 1-3-1 halfcourt zone trap yielded dividends.

End of an era for Triton basketball
