PLYMOUTH â€”Â Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center has a plan to help people understand their health insurance situation under the federal Affordable Care Act.
President and CEO Al Gutierrez told the Pilot News Thursday that Plymouth will be the location of the first SJRMC health insurance and exchange information center.
ARGOS â€” Hal and Jeanne Sullivan are like most families that own small farms.
They work every day, donâ€™t take vacations and live a modest lifestyle.
So when they lost an estimated $80,000 in cattle, it was almost too much to handle.
â€śMy daughter is at Purdue University,â€ť said Hal. â€śAll her life, that was her dream. All I can say is thank God for scholarships because he almost took her dream away.â€ť
Sullivan said that heâ€™s talking about Joe Miller.
Miller is accused of stealing cattle from Sullivan and the Topeka Sale Barn in LaGrange County.
WARSAW â€” Last yearâ€™s sectional championship was the first ever in Culver Girls Academy history. It also seems to have left the Lady Eagles hungry for more.
CGAâ€™s swim team put itself in good position to repeat at the Warsaw Sectional preliminaries Thursday, earning a total of 20 finals qualifications â€” including five top seeds â€” and another seven consolation berths in advance of Saturdayâ€™s sectional finals.
BOURBON â€” Tritonâ€™s Clay Yeo has been nominated for the McDonaldâ€™s All-American Games, it was announced Thursday.
Yeo is among 814 seniors to be nominated for the games. This yearâ€™s list boasts players from 39 states and the District of Columbia who have been selected by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonaldâ€™s All American Games Selection Committee. The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls selected to play in the 2013 Games will be announced during the McDonaldâ€™s All-American Games Selection Show on ESPNU on Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. ET.
Lady Pilgrims close at Goshen
Plymouthâ€™s girls basketball team got off to a slow start in the teamâ€™s regular-season closer at Goshen Thursday, and the Lady Pilgrims suffered a 49-41 loss at the hands of the host Redskins.
