ARGOS â Lindsay Ann (Hardee) Fisher, 33, of Argos passed away Feb. 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth following a sudden illness.
She was born Jan. 27, 1980 in Tucson, Ariz. to Kevin and Marilyn (Ransberger) Hardee. She grew up in the Argos community, and had lived the last eight years in Kentucky, returning to Argos in August 2012.
She worked at McDonaldâs in Argos.
She was a graduate of Argos High School class of 1998.

PLYMOUTH â Dorothea âElaineâ Burroughs, 91, of Plymouth, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at 8:15 p.m., in the loving care of her daughters and Hospice.
Elaine was born Sept. 11, 1921 in Walkerton to Albert Ray and Nancy (Masterman) Barden. She graduated from LaPaz High School in 1939 and attended beauty school shortly after.
On Aug. 29, 1945, she married Albert âBudâ Edward Burroughs in Teegarden.

PLYMOUTH â Gladys M. Umbaugh, 94, of Plymouth, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 in the Millerâs Merry Manor, Plymouth.
She is survived by two sons, Roger L. (Carol) Umbaugh and John Michael Umbaugh all of Plymouth; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 14 from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Calvary Lutheran Church, 1314 N. Michigan St., Plymouth where visitation is after 10 a.m. until time of service.
CULVER â With its conference schedule now complete, Plymouthâs boys basketball team is already gearing up for the start of the state tournament.
The Pilgrims jumped out to a fast start on the road at potential Sectional 19 foe Culver Military Academy Tuesday, holding the Eagles to just two buckets in the first half for a 25-point cushion at the break, and the visitors never let off the gas in a 59-24 rout at Fleet Gymnasium.
BOURBON â The Triton Trojans picked up another win as they held off the Rochester Zebras 60-45 at the Trojan Trench Tuesday night.
The Trojans started the game off slow and let Rochester stay in the game. They didnât get much going on the offensive end early, taking only a four-point lead at the end of the first quarter 12-8.
PLYMOUTH â When Plymouth senior Sam Stevens was little, grandmother Mary Beth Hunter used to take him out to the tennis court for lessons.
âWeâre wasting our time,â the young Stevens would say to the Hall of Fame Plymouth tennis coach. âIâm going to play football.â
Not only did Stevens turn out to be right, he turned out to be a pretty good football player, and on Monday he signed on to continue his football career at Division II Bemidji State in Minnesota.
Nicholas Amor dropped 35 points, and LaVille outlasted visiting Mishawaka Marian in two overtimes Tuesday, 79-77 at home at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium.
Andrew Hostetler put up 26 on the strength of six 3-pointers, and he dished out six assists with seven rebounds for the Lancers in the win, which pushes the team to 12-6 on the year.
Marian was led by Notre Dame commit Demetrius Jacksonâs 29 points with nine rebounds and six assists and Devni Cannadyâs 25.

PLYMOUTH - The Veterans Theraputic Art Center will have its first home.
VTAC received approval from the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety to call the upstairs of the Old Firehouse building their new home.
Larry Balmer of VTAC came before the board with a lease agreement worked out with Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi that would lease the space to the group as a base of operations, place to display art work, to hold some smaller art classes and give a meeting space for veteran related activities.
PLYMOUTH - Residents of Plymouth could be in for a surprise in their tax bill for the coming year.
Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Toni Hutchings gave some numbers to the Plymouth Common Council Monday that point to what could be a difficult tax season. Marshall County had a reassessment of property in 2012 for taxes to be paid in 2013. The reassessment is the first in Indiana since 2002. The numbers coming back have given Hutchings a reason for concern.
The property tax rate for residents of the city of Plymouth will jump from 2.5448 to 2.8582 per $100 of assessed value.
