MARSHALL CO. — Marshall County Economic Development Corporation’s Executive Director, Jennifer Laurent, announced her resignation Monday. Laurent joined the staff of MCEDC in February 2010 and was appointed as Executive Director in October 2010 after serving as Interim Director for five months.
She leaves the organization with a successful track record of major business expansion projects, the creation of a professional Business Retention visitation program, and new initiatives aimed to increase Marshall County’s development preparedness and attraction marketing position.
LaVille’s Andrew Hostetler finished with 17 points to lead the Lancers as they broke a 19-game series losing streak to John Glenn on Saturday.
Bremen’s Sara Slabaugh scored a game-high 26 points as the Lady Lions earned their first win against Knox Friday night.
NAPPANEE — Snapping a losing streak always feels pretty good. Doing it on the road at No. 7 Northern Lakes Conference rival NorthWood makes it even sweeter.
The Lady Pilgrims used an 8-0 second quarter-opening run to jump out to a 17-9 lead on the host Lady Panthers after a nip-tuck first period, and the visitors never surrendered the lead again in an eventual 42-34 NLC win that snapped a three-game skid in Nappanee Saturday night.
