PLYMOUTH - Monika M. Metzger Fuhrimann, 65, a Plymouth resident since 2007, coming from Granger, passed away at 9:17 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012, in the Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana, Mishawaka, following an illness.
Monika, a citizen of Switzerland, was born on January 9, 1947 in Waengi, Switzerland, the daughter of Rene’ Karl and Margot Sophie Tschornia Metzger.
She attended the School of Business Administration in Switzerland.
Monika worked as a Business Administrator at AQL, Inc. in Plymouth for four years.

ROCHESTER — Donna Malott  63, of Rochester, died at home September 15, 2012 at 10:53 pm. Donna is survived by a daughter Misty Hoff and husband Shawn of Kewanna, three sons Mike Shaffer and wife Heaven, of Angola, Tony Shaffer  of Rochester and Matt  Shaffer of Logansport, 11 grandchildren and a sister Vicki Hoehnke and husband Rick of Noblesville.
Private family services will be held at a later date near Lebanon.   The Good Family Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.  Condolences may be expressed online at

BOURBON — Virginia Klinger, 82, who was a resident of Life Care Center Rochester, formerly of Bourbon, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 7:10 a.m.
Mrs. Klinger was born to George Underly and Anna Bell Cottrell Underly on March 22, 1930. She was married to Clyde Lancaster on November 17, 1951 and he proceeded in death on August 1, 1992, she then married Egon Klinger on October 7, 1998 and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2010.

AKRON — Charles “Charlie” L. Anders, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2012.
A resident of the Akron area for the past 24 years, Charlie was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era and employed by JR Engineering for the past 22 years.
Survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin; daughter, Amy Wallis; sons, Bryan, Garrett and Cody; grandson, Zavier; granddaughters, Leah and Zoey; mother; Kathryn Anders; sister, Linda Wilhelm; along with other relatives and friends.

KNOX — E. Faye Rodgers, 67, passed away in her home Friday, September 14, 2012.  Faye was born October 16, 1944 in Knox, IN to Wise and Nancy (Howard) Conley and lived in the area all of her life.  She was a retired administrative assistant.
 Survivors include: one son, Bart (Patti) Rodgers of Knox; two step-grandchildren, Donnie (Brooke) Roberts of Grovertown and Jami (Marvin) McDaniel of Knox; five step-great-grandchildren and one brother, Howard Conley of LaPorte.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Brett.

Plymouth, Glenn relaxed for Saturday’s girls golf regionals

Plymouth’s girls golf team is taking a relaxed approach to the East Noble Regional this weekend.
After advancing out of the Warsaw Sectional with a third-place finish last Saturday, the Lady Pilgrims are looking at whatever they can do this weekend is icing on the cake.

GOSHEN — Plymouth’s boys tennis team went 4-1 a second straight night at the Northern Lakes Conference Tournament to stay in the hunt for the tourney championship headed into Saturday’s final round of play at Concord.
The Pilgrims advanced to championship matches at three positions as Gabe Vervynckt won at 1 singles, John Hunter won his semifinal at 3 singles, and Kameron Eisehour and Ryan Johnson earned a semifinal win at 2 doubles.
