PLYMOUTH — Siamuel Stemen, 27, of Plymouth, was arrested Friday in Warsaw for stalking his ex-wife and eventually running her vehicle off the road.
Stemen has two pending cases in Marshall County, according to Prosecutor Nelson Chipman. He was arrested March 14 of this year for strangulation, a class D felony, and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor. The second pending case is a motion to revoke probation filed in December 2011. The underlying offense in that case, according to Chipman, is sexual battery. Stemen spent 90 days in the Marshall County Jail before being released June 22.

PLYMOUTH — Mayor Mark Senter announced this week that Randolph Street near Plymouth High School will be temporarily renamed “Morgan Uceny Run” in a public ceremony Friday at 3 p.m.
“(Uceny) was a big part of Plymouth High School and a big part of our community,” said Senter. “What better place than right there near the park, Greenways Trail, and the high school?”
Senter plans to read a proclamation prior to unveiling the street sign created in Uceny’s honor.
“It’s so rare for an athlete of this caliber to come out of a city the size of Plymouth,” noted Senter.
INDIANAPOLIS — Three area students have been named to the Indiana High School Sports Association’s Student Advisory Committee for 2012-13. Juniors Ellen Smith of Plymouth, Sara Slabaugh of Bremen and Amber Cowell of Culver Academy have all been named to this year’s committee.
Each year, the IHSAA receives nominations from school principals on behalf of student-athletes who attended the IHSAA Student Leadership Conference in June. From that group of nominations, 20 are selected for interviews by members of
PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Post 27 Diamond Spyders baseball team is hosting the American Legion State Baseball Tournament from today through Sunday at Bill Nixon Field.
The Spyders will be among five teams at the tourney after receiving an automatic bid as hosts. Here is a schedule of games for the tilt.

Plymouth wins home invite
Two of Plymouth’s top four placed in the top five, and the Lady Pilgrims won their home invitational Wednesday at the Plymouth Country Club with a score of 368.
Lauren Rearick was second overall with an 86, while teammate Emily Berger shot an 88 in fourth place individually for Plymouth. Morgan Oberley shot a 94, and Emily Denny carded a 100 for the Pilgrims.
John Glenn finished in fifth place at the nine-team meet, meanwhile, as Emma Reese led the team with a 101 followed by Morgan Eggleston’s 109, Kaylee Matz’s 110, and Presley Gee’s 114.
