PLYMOUTH —It took two games on Sunday but the Plymouth Post 27 Diamond Spyders were able to come away with an American Legion Sectional title with an 8-0 victory over Kokomo Post 6.
Kokomo came through the losers’ bracket of the tournament and needed to get two victories over Post 27 on the day to take away the Sectional title but playing five games in three days looked like it took its toll on Post 6.

July 23, 2012

ARGOS — To most of us, the summer’s above-average heat and dryness is an annoyance. To local farmers, however, the weather represents a serious threat to their livelihood.
Dan Voreis, of Argos, has farmed for 40 years and said he’s never experienced a drought like this.
“It started in May and hasn’t let up,” said Voreis earlier this week.
