PLYMOUTH â Mona M. Stetler, 66, a lifetime Plymouth resident, passed away in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012.
The daughter of Dean B. and Cecilia Kinzie Dipert, Mona was born Sept. 9, 1945 in Plymouth. She attended Plymouth Schools. Jan. 26, 1986, in Inwood, Mona and Pete Stetler were married. Pete preceded her in death Dec. 1, 2002.
Mona had been a production worker at Aker Plastics for six and one half years.

PLYMOUTH â More than 50 local children make up the cast of this weekendâs Jack in the Beanstalk performance from the Plymouth Missoula Childrenâs Theatre. Organizer Donna Georgen said that she appreciates being a part of Missoula because each yearâs productions are so appreciated by the children and the community.
âOne of the things that has been so appealing about bringing Missoula to the area every year is that the tour directors are always prepared and the kids love it â they could do it all summer long,â said Georgen.

PLYMOUTH â The annual Marshall County Relay for Life is this Saturday and Sunday at Centennial Park in Plymouth.
Organizer Becky Milliser said that her favorite part of the overnight event is spending time with other cancer survivors and their friends and family.
âI just love the whole relay experience, just hearing other peoples stories and what they have gone through,â said Milliser. âWe are kind of like a family.â
PLYMOUTH â Plymouth Post 27 used the momentum from Wednesday nightâs comeback win to pick up its second victory in as many days, defeating Post 418/60 out of Logansport, 10-5.
The Diamond Spyders got benefited from a strong pitching performance from Sean Liedtky. He went seven innings for the victory and gave up two earned runs on five hits while striking out six. Wally Dickman relieved him in the eighth and struck out five Logansport hitters over the final two innings to secure the win.
Post 418/60 started the game with a run to pick up the early lead.Â
The Plymouth Post 27 Diamond Spyders American Legion baseball team is off to an 8-3 start to the season. Here is the complete team and its remaining schedule.

LAKEVILLE â A former contracted school bus driver for the Union-North United School Corporation has filed a lawsuit against the school corporation, current and former superintendents, school board members, and the former Director of Transportation alleging that she âexperienced a continuing history of harassment, intimation, retaliation and negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress beginning in January of 2011.â

PLYMOUTH â When Philip Cooper, 61, of Bloomington, decided to take a trip across Indiana for a cause this summer, he chose an unusual method of transportation for a reason.
âThis is neither more comfortable nor more effective than a bicycle,â said Cooper, standing next to his bright neon green elliptical-style bike. âItâs meant for cross training for runners, but for my purposes â to get attention â itâs ideal.â

PLYMOUTH â Mary Constance âConnieâ Smith, 87, of 635 Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, passed away at 4:55 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Millerâs Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
Connie was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland County, England, to Thomas H. and Florence (Chilton) Elsworth. She married Ralph R. Smith, of New Carlisle, Sept. 1, 1945. They were divorced in 1960.
