Calhoun played four years varsity soccer at Argos as a midfielder and defender. He also played goalie at Ancilla College, where he served as team captain and on the Ancilla College Athletic Committee. He holds three goal-keeping records at Ancilla — shutouts in a season, goals against average and shutouts in a career.
