MARSHALL CO. â€”A Marshall County jury deliberated almost four hours Wednesday, after which it found Taran James Holderman of Warsaw guilty of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of Precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. After hearing a day and a half of testimony, the jury returned its verdict to presiding Judge Robert O. Bowen of Marshall Superior Court No. 1.
This week is Fatherâ€™s Day weekend at the Farmers Market. Entertainment by MC Church Orchestra begins at 9 a.m. Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center will have free health screenings from at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be strawberry shortcake tasting free at the information booth. The Farmers Market is held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in River Park Square at Garro and River Streets east of Michigan.

PLYMOUTH â€” Plymouth Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Dollar General Wednesday and followed a suspect, Nicholas Hundt, 33, of Plymouth, in his black Jeep to the area of the Webster Center. Hundt was apprehended and police discovered that he had a suspended driver's license and packaging from the stolen item in his possession. An active meth lab was also located in the back seat of the vehicle. Indiana State Police meth team was contacted for processing and clean up. Hundt was incarcerated for manufacturing meth, theft, and driving while suspended.
PLYMOUTH â€” The biggest school reunion of the year takes place Friday at Plymouth High School when the Plymouth Alumni Association hosts a doubly-eventful Alumni Banquet beginning at 6 p.m. The banquet portion of the evening will see the induction of Suellen Glaub Long, Dr. Robert Vore and Dr. Arthur Becknell Jr. into the Plymouth Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.
After dinner, the PAA will host a special concert with 1995 PHS grad and Dove Award winning Denver Bierman beginning at 8 p.m. in the PHS Auditorium.
DONALDSON â€” The 17th annual Ancilla College Golf Tournament teed off on Monday at the Plymouth Country Club, with 40 teams taking part in the festivities to help raise money for the school.
The tournament, which followed a four-person Florida scramble format, raised over $21,000 for the Annual Fund. Funds received are pledged to support student grants and scholarships.
Plymouthâ€™s No. 1 doubles tandem of Andria Shook, left, and Marissa German, right, were recently named to the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Associationâ€™s All-State Honorable Mention list.
Shook and German finished their season with an 18-6 record, were named to the All-Northern Lakes Conference Honorable Mention list, the all-district team and finished runners-up at the LaPorte Regional in the IHSAAâ€™s 22nd Annual Doubles State Tournament.
