John Wade

PLYMOUTH — John D. Wade, 83, of Plymouth, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
John was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Plymouth, to Claude and Gladys (Good) Wade. He retired from the sales department at Fuch’s. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Plymouth, a huge Cubs fan, and loved to play cards every Saturday morning. John will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.
Kline Dean Irwin

BREMEN — Kline Dean Irwin, 90, a long time resident of Lake of the Woods, Bremen, passed away at 4:28 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center, Plymouth.
The son of Elmer and Iva Middleton Irwin, Kline was born April 27, 1922 in Argos. He attended Argos Schools.
Kline enlisted in the U.S. Navy Aug. 14, 1941, serving in World War II. He received a Purple Heart Dec. 23, 1943 and was discharged Sept. 8, 1945.
Thomas M. Dimino

PLYMOUTH — Thomas M. Dimino, 60, a resident of Coventry Court in Plymouth, passed away at his home Friday morning having battled a two-year illness. Tom was formerly of Queensbury, N.Y. and has made Plymouth his home for the past 10 years.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. Aug. 21, 1951, the son of Michael A. and Donna (Prudenza) Dimino. Raised there, he received his schooling at New Utrecht High School.
Jan. 26, 1974 in St. Mary’s Church, Brooklyn he married the former Joanne Piazza. Together they had one son Michael J. Dimino.

PLYMOUTH — Mary Ann Rankin, 94, of 635 Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, died at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Miller's Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
She is survived by her husband, George L. Rankin of Plymouth; daughter, Karen Roush of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth is handling the arrangements. There will be no services.

SHIPSHEWANA — Thomas T. Winquist, 71, of Shipshewana, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Winquist was born July 7, 1940 in Logansport, to Roy and Alice (Kiger) Winquist.
Mr. Winquist was a welder and groomed horses.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Beatrice of Phoenix, Ariz., Andrea Winquist of Flora, and Teresa Lovell of South Bend; two grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ellen Franklin of Stuart, Fla.; and a brother, Richard Winquist of Shipshewana.

CULVER — Robert R. Flora, 79, of Culver passed away May 22, 2012.
He was born Sept. 12, 1932 in Plymouth, the son of Tom Flora and Dorothy Ayres.
He was self-employed as a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Flora of Culver; sons, Lynn R. (Gail) Flora of Culver, Scott Flora of Culver, Michael Ryan of Culver; daughter, Sharon (Terry) Honeycutt of Winamac; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tom Flora; and four sisters.

ROCHESTER — Robert K. “Bob” Winterrowd, 76, died at 7:25 a.m., Sunday, May 20, 2012 at his home.

BREMEN — Marlowe Heckaman, 96, formerly of Bremen, died, Jan. 6, 2012.
He is survived by a sister, Monvilo Harrison of Florida.
Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, with a small graveside ceremony July 10, 2012 at 3 p.m.
The Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.
Max J. Watkins

BOURBON — Max J. Watkins, 81, of Bourbon passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at 6:51 p.m. in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of South Bend.
Max was born the son of Henry Watkins and Catherine Miller Watkins Feb. 28, 1931 at Bourbon. He was a lifelong resident of Bourbon. Max was a graduate of Bourbon High School class of 1949. Max was joined in marriage Jan. 3, 1953 to Eleanor Hazen who survives. He was a lifetime member of Hepton Union Church.
PLYMOUTH — Officers with the Marshall County Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team with the assistance of the Marshall County Police, Indiana State Police, and State Excise Police executed a search warrant at the Marathon gas station located near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Queen Road May 9.
During the search, multiple packages of synthetic marijuana were located and seized. The establishment was issued a citation from the Indiana State Excise Police. No arrests were made, but a formal criminal case is being forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office.
MARSHALL CO. — Terry Kovacs, Jr., Jenny Keeton, and Christa Padilla were arrested Monday at approximately 6:30 p.m. at a residence on Cook Lake Trail.
The Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team of Marshall County executed a search warrant at the address after a four month investigation. They were assisted by the Marshall County Police, Bremen Police, Indiana State Police, and Plymouth Police. During the search multiple items associated with manufacturing methamphetamine were located and three suspects arrested.
