SOUTH BEND âÂ Kenneth R. Bope, 49, of South Bend, formerly of Bremen, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at home. He was born Jan. 24, 1963 to James and Treva (LaVine) Bope.
Kenny graduated from Bremen High School in 1981 and went on to honorably serve in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne during Desert Storm. He currently worked at Roxieâs Bar in Mishawaka.

PLYMOUTH âÂ Bruce W. Hite, 62, of 11th Road, Plymouth, passed away, Monday, April 21, 2012, at 7:15 p.m., at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Mishawaka.
Bruce was born April 17, 1950, in Plymouth, to David Loyal and Mary Marguerite (Hoeszle) Hite. Bruce served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bruce and Patricia Nissen were joined in marriage Feb. 5, 1971. They had been married for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, James Horner; one daughter, Carolyn (Glenn) Stepek of Chesterton; stepson, James (Andrea) Horner of Texas; one grandchild; sisters, Leata Sobieck of Chesterton, Margaret Tessner of Lake in the Hills, Ill., Marlene (Ernie) Wilson of Grovertown and Darlene Allen of Knox and half-sister, Kristine (Milt) Schwab of Morton Grove, Ill.

VALPARAISO âÂ Thomas R. Relos, 26, of Valparaiso, died April 21, 2012. He was born Aug. 21, 1985 in South Bend. He worked as a laborer for Northwest Indiana Fence Company.
Robert Lee Ross

CULVER âÂ Bob Ross passed away at approximately 2 a.m. in his home in Culver. Bob was not only loved by his family, but also by his many, many friends.
Bob was born in Dubois, Pa. to the late Leland and Sarah (Sterling) Ross.
Popular children's author Buck Wilder (aka Tim Smith) paid Culver Elementary School a visit recently to read from his books, which include "Buck Wilder's Small Fry Fishing Guide" among others, and discuss the importance of spending time outdoors being active and enjoying nature.

PLYMOUTH âÂ City water consumers will see a slight increase in their water bills beginning this summer.
Monday night members of the Plymouth Common Council approved on second and third readings an ordinance amending water rates for the City of Plymouth.
Speaking on behalf of the increase was the cityâs financial consultant John Julian from Umbaugh.Â About a month to six weeks ago Umbaugh evaluated the annual financial report of the water utility and recommended a gradual increase which Julian said, âthe result will keep the City in strong financial shape.â
