PLYMOUTH â Sean McNab was arrested Thursday for theft, following a report that some coins and other currency had been taken from the residence of Howard Schillaci on Olive Road in Plymouth.
LAPAZ â An unknown person armed with a knife attempted to rob the Bottle Stop in LaPaz in February, but was thwarted by an employee.
Nathan Heyde, of Bremen, was recently arrested and charged in connection with the incident, following an investigation conducted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department. Evidence collected at the scene of the incident aided in identifying Heyde as the perpetrator.
PLYMOUTH â The Plymouth Chamber of Commerceâs annual dinner will be held at Swan Lake Resort, Thursday, May 10.
The chamber will honor all living past board presidents, present a brief review of 2011, followed by the presentation of the Program of Works for 2012.
Th dinner will be headlined by former WTCA sportscaster Rick Derf. He will be speaking about his time spent in Plymouth, sharing many life lessons and memories along the way.

PLYMOUTH â Plymouth High School students witnessed a bloody scene outside their school Thursday morning as five students were involved in a two-vehicle crash blamed on drunk driving. Fortunately, the situation was staged â a joint effort from school administration and Plymouth emergency responders to encourage students not to drink and drive during prom night this weekend.
Marsha Wainscott, of the Plymouth Fire Department, narrated the mock crash with a bullhorn, informing students that though it was a demonstration, the actions taken by emergency responders would be realistic.

BOURBON â A two-way meet with a conference opponent is always a good opportunity to see where you stack up in your league.
With the Northern State Conference meet still two weeks out, Triton hosted Culver Thursday, and the two schools earned a split as Culverâs boys beat their hosts 84-43, and Tritonâs girls edged out the Lady Cavaliers 61-53.
Culverâs boys team went one-two in seven different events against a young Trojans team ailing with injuries, and the Cavaliers earned a convincing win on a gusty, cold night in Bourbon.

Lady Pilgrims rebound
Plymouth bounced back from a tough Northern Lakes Conference loss at Concord Tuesday with a 4-1 win at Elkhart Memorial Thursday night.
The Lady Pilgrims won on all courts except at 1 singles. Alli Berger beat Memorialâs Corrin Wittaker with a 7-5 third set tiebreaker in the closest match of the night at 2 singles, and Plymouth moved to an even 2-2 in the conference and 5-3 overall.

PLYMOUTH â The Lincoln Jr. High Auditorium will become Sherwood Forest for an evening as the schoolâs theater department presents the play Robin Hood.
The show opens Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Junior High Auditorium. The show is one hour in length. Tickets are 4 dollars for adults and 2 dollars for children.

NASHVILLE â Christian music has handed out itâs version of the Grammyâs - known as the Dove Awards - and a familiar face to Plymouth walked away from the event with his first honor.
Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra took their first Dove Award in the category of âBest Childrenâs Album of the Yearâ won by the bands latest offering entitled âGroovyâ. The project is a collection of kids songs written and performed in the bands distinct style that is as popular with parents as it is their children.
