OGDEN, Utah â€”Â Gerry Gawain Funk, 64, passed away peacefully, Wednesday March 28, 2012, from cancer. Gerry was born Jan. 2, 1948 to Gawain Marion Funk and Evelyn Pearl Miller Funk in Plymouth. Gerry married Dixie Gray June 29, 1968 in Washington D.C. Gerry served in the United States Navy.Â
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Schmeltz sets record at Taylor
LaVille graduate Elaine Schmeltz won two events under windy conditions Friday at the Defiance College Yellow Jacket Open, and the Taylor freshman set a new school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to lead the Trojans to a second place finish in the seven-team field.
