LAKEVILLE â After a strong performance in the Bi-County semifinals Saturday, LaVilleâs Kelsey Gurtner got tapped for the start against Argos.
It was her finish that made the biggest difference Thursday, however.
The sophomore guard put in some late heroics as she caught a quick outlet pass from Jesse Feitz on a missed Argos free throw with 15 seconds remaining, then drove the length of the floor for a slashing layup that proved to be the game-winner as scrappy LaVille edged the Class A No. 10 Dragons 40-39 in a back-and-forth thriller at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium.

Debate ensued Jan. 17 concerning the newly-reorganized Culver town councilâs appointment to the Culver parks and recreation board, to which the council ultimately re-appointed current board member Patty Stallings, rather than applicant Rhonda Reinhold.
With Ed Pinder replacing Ginny Munroe as council president, and newest member Bill Githens on hand for his first meeting, members discussed the status of Stallings, a Republican who agreed to change party affiliation to fill a vacancy on the politically balanced board. Reinhold is a lifelong Democrat.

With a book and lyrics by Monty Pythonâs Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez the musical tells the tale of King Arthur and his â rather offbeat â quest for the Holy Grail.
