ROCHESTER â€” Connie Jean Mikesell, 68, of Rochester died Dec. 22, 2012, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice House of Fort Wayne.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; a daughter, Melissa Owsley of Selma; a son, Darrin (Kyong) Mikesell of Ft. Wayne; five grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn (Joe) Varnadore of North Beach, Md., Shirley Farrell Estep of Charleston, W.V.; and two brothers, Everett Henderson of Akron, Jerry (Beverly) Henderson of Denver, N.C.

LAKEVILLE â€”Â Kenneth Eugene Isenberg, 85, residing in Lakeville, passed away at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 in his home. He was born May 17, 1927 in Gamaliel, Ky. to Sherman T. and Elma (Hall) Isenberg. On Nov. 17, 1950 in Lakeville, he was united in marriage to Lois Eileen Mangus.

ROCHESTER â€”Â John G. Pryor, 84, of Rochester, died at 7:59 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Rhea; two daughters, Carol Ann (Greg) Amend of Mason, Ohio, Pam (Charles) Jones of Rochester; a son, John â€śJDâ€ť Pryor of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet (John) Kassbaum of Carmel; and a brother, Carl (Terri) Pryor of French Lick.

PLYMOUTH â€” Katherine A. â€śKathyâ€ť Brosmer Coyer, 46, of Plymouth, fought a 15-year cancer-related illness that resulted from ulcerated colitis and passed away at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 in the attentive and loving care of the Elkhart Hospice House. Kathy faced lifeâ€™s adversities with an energetic spirit.

ARGOS â€”Â Verna Lou (Martin) Stevens, 73, of Argos died Dec. 21, 2012 at 6:20 a.m. at St. Vincentâ€™s Hospice in Indianapolis. She had been in declining health for several months.
She was born Oct. 28, 1939 in Tippecanoe to Virgil R. (Bud) and Mildred Olive (Baer) Martin. She had lived in Argos for 52 years coming from Tippecanoe.
Dec. 9, 1960 in Rochester, she married Harold â€śCurlyâ€ť Dean Stevens. He preceded her April 20, 2012.

ZIONSVILLE â€”Â Dr. Kenneth W. Reber, former State Director of Indiana Rehabilitation Services and former Superintendent of Schools in Plymouth, passed away Dec. 18, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospice. Dr. Reber was born Sept. 5, 1918 in Berrien Co., St. Joseph, Mich., the son of L. Benjamin and Tina Reber.
Man brings drugs to meeting with probation officer
PLYMOUTH â€” A Nappanee man was jailed Dec. 21 after he allegedly brought synthetic marijuana and paraphernalia to a meeting with his probation officer.
The Marshall County Probation office called in a report at 2:50 p.m. that David Skaggs, 28, Nappanne had come to meet with his probation officer and he had paraphernalia.
They also found what they believed to be synthetic marijuana.
Skaggs was placed under arrest and transported to Marshall County Jail.
Natural causes ruled cause of death for trucker
INDIANAPOLIS â€”Â NorthWood junior forward Morgan Olson was selected as the District 1 girls IBCA Subway Player of the Week for her performances during the week of Dec. 17-22.
She was joined by a pair of players from Evansville Bosse in junior Perry Fairrow and senior Janisha Lindsey, Elkhart Memorial senior Markese McGuire, Park Tudor junior Trevon Bluiett and Indianapolis Marshall junior Daeâ€™Shanique King as recipients in the awards program overseen by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Culver Community senior Matt Hurford pinned his way through the 182-pound bracket at the Rochester Wrestling Invitational Saturday to earn his fourth straight championship at the invite.
John Glenn senior forward Katie Dreessen registered a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds while putting in a strong defensive performance to help Glenn win its 10th straight against Westville on Senior Night.
