PLYMOUTH â€” Elizabeth L. Doyle, 80, passed away at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center, Plymouth.
Betty was born March 9, 1932 in South Bend to Frank and Mary (Szucs) Blankert. She was a hairdresser employed by Vivianâ€™s in South Bend, a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church and its St. Anne Society. May 1, 1954 in Our Lady of Hungary Church, she married James L. Doyle who survives.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Ruth A. Roose, 101, of Plymouth died at 4:08 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, in Plymouth.
Ruth was born May 23, 1911, in Plymouth, to George and Edith (Anderson) Staley.
Ruth became the bride of Albert L. Roose, Oct. 25, 1930. Albert passed away Feb. 13, 1966.
LAKEVILLE â€” There were plenty of things for LaVille fans to feel good about in the Lady Lancersâ€™ game with Rochester Friday night. Itâ€™s just that a win wasnâ€™t one of them.
LaVille weathered an early storm to get back in the game after a slow start, broke Rochesterâ€™s press with relative ease, played solid defense in a newly-implemented 2-3 zone, hung tough in the battle of the boards, worked the ball inside on offense.
Trojans shoot down Satellites
BOURBON â€”Â Class A No. 6 Triton finished 9 of 15 from 3-point territory while holding South Central to 26 percent from the field en route to a 69-36 girls basketball win at Union Mills Friday.
Triton senior Shana Anderson went 9 of 15 from the field â€”Â 4-for-5 from behind the 3-point arc â€” on her way to a team-high 24 points, seven boards, five assists, and five steals.
Taylor Hatfield chipped in 19 points, also drilled four of her five 3-point attempts for the Trojans, and Kylie Mason contributed 12 points.
Harold D. Gardner

ROCHESTER â€”Â Harold D. Gardner, 92, of Rochester, formerly of Argos, died Nov. 13, 2012 at 9:35 p.m. at Life Care Center of Rochester. He had been in declining health for a couple of years.
He was born Dec. 26, 1919 in Tyner to Ben and Blanche (Sponseller) Gardner. He lived in the Argos community all of his adult life.
He first married Caroline Sinclair who preceded in 1958; he then married Velma Smith Dec. 23, 1960 in Akron.
He was a farmer and worked at Studebaker as a pressman.
Aleta M. Montague

WINONA LAKE â€” Aleta M. Montague, 66, a Warsaw-Winona Lake resident most of her life, died in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 10:57 a.m., following a brief illness.
Born in Detroit, Mich. Sept. 27, 1946, Aleta was the daughter of Winston G. and Anna Marie King Montague.
She was a 1964 graduate of Triton High School, Bourbon.
Aleta had worked at R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw as a machine operator, retiring in 2011.

PLYMOUTH â€” Ruth A. Roose, 101, of Plymouth died Nov. 15, 2012 at 4:08 a.m. at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, where funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m.
Burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Van Gilder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

NAPLES, Fla. â€”Â Mary Ann (Underwood) Summy, born Jan. 5, 1926 in Plymouth, died, Nov. 13, 2012.
She was married to her loving husband, Russell D. (Ward) Summy in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by son, Gary (Laurie) Summy and daughter, Susan (Jim) Mishler. Four grandchildren were the love and joy of her life; Kathryn Mishler and Emily (Mishler) Rupchock, and Kyle and Gregory Summy.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Annabel Long, 95, a lifelong Marshall County resident, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 in the Lakeland Regional Medical Center from complications due to a fall. Annabel, who had resided at the Lake of the Woods for more than 30 years moved to Lakeland to live with her daughter Joan in June of 2011.
