GREENVILLE, S.C. â€”Â Jacqueline Lou Heeter Xaver passed away Nov. 16, 2012. Her husband of 62 years, Gerald Xaver, held her hand while all their seven children gathered, prayed, and held vigil together.

PLYMOUTH â€” Mary E. (Beam) Gridley, 87, of Plymouth, died Sunday morning in the Grace Village Health Care Facility in Winona Lake.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, with burial in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts may be given to the First United Church of Christ or the Macular Degeneration Foundation.

Plymouth sophomore Hunter Stevens led the Lady Pilgrims in scoring with 24 points in two games as the team beat Triton and Valparaiso last week for a 3-0 start.
Argos sophomore Damon Binkley was voted the All-Northern Indiana Soccer Conference Player of the Year last week after leading the Dragons to their first NISC championship since 1998.

Such was Plymouthâ€™s plan coming into Saturdayâ€™s home opener versus Valparaiso, and the Lady Pilgrims executed to a T.
Sophomore Allie Wright relentlessly shadowed Valpo point guard Grace Withrow, effectively marooning her from the rest of the Vikingsâ€™ offense, the Pilgrims created havoc in the passing lanes, and Plymouth rode a strong defensive effort to a 50-32 win at The Rock.
Cvitkovic powers CGA past LaVille in OT
Dayton recruit Andrijana Cvitkovic surpassed the 1,000-point mark, and Culver Girls Academy kept LaVille winless with a thrilling 57-55 overtime victory Saturday night at Fleet Gymnasium.
Cvitkovic tallied a game-high 25 points to power CGAâ€™s offense, which finished 49 percent from the field for the night.
McKenzie Leed and Katie Berger each scored 14, and Hannah Herbster put up 12 points for the balanced Lady Lancersâ€™ offense, which hung tough with the hosts despite an 18-of-65, 28 percent field conversion rate.
