Most Culver residents are aware that work resumed two weeks ago on Culver's downtown revitalization project. At the Oct. 23 meeting of Culver's town council, some insight was given as to how that action came about, following the ceasing of work from Oct. 9 to 16.

PLYMOUTH â Ingwald W. Johnson, 68, of Plymouth, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at his home. He was born Aug. 12, 1944, to Ingwald R. and Arlene (Lawmaster) Johnson, in Argos.

PLYMOUTH â 2nd District Congressional Candidate Brendan Mullen (D-Granger) stopped by Opieâs Deli Wednesday afternoon fresh off his debate with opponent Republican Jackie Walorski.
Mullen took Walorski to task several times for seemingly avoiding direct answers to questions during the debate aired on WSBT2 Tuesday night.
During the debate, Mullen painted Walorski as a career politician while citing his own small business and military experience.
PLYMOUTH â After a week where his name was all over the national news for his comments on abortion and rape, Republican Seante candidate Richard Mourdock was at The Brass Rail Wednesday afternoon as his campaign charged toward the finish.
And Mourdock brought with him some good news for the supporters on hand.
He told the group that internal polling suggested Mourdock had gone from being in a tie with opponent Democrat Joe Donnelly to leading by a little less than two points.
Mourdockâs campaign took a hit from comments he made at an Oct. 23 debate.

BLUEFIELD, Va. â Chase Neidig is a Renaissance man in American soccer, having served in every single capacity in the beautiful game.
He has spent time at the high school level, the pros, in grassroots movements, internationally, and now in the collegiate game. He has even served on the media and front office side of the sport. Simply put, Neidig has done it all.
One thing is always constant: Neidigâs love for soccer and his drive to make it work in America, and for that the Plymouth native was recently highlighted as one of the International Soccer Networkâs Stars of Coaching.
Apoplectic wouldnât be the best way to describe how I was that night.
I mean I knew Notre Dame was going to struggle against Oklahoma.
But still as Oklahoma took their first drive right down the field, the anger built.
âSame old Notre Dame,â I muttered to myself like a crazy old man.
Then a botched snap changed everything.
Then Cierre Wood breaks a long touchdown run.
âWell at least we arenât going to get blown out,â I said.
Then a half goes by.
Then three quarters.
âNotre Dame can actually win this thing,â I said.
All this time, when I have heard references about âFrankenstormâ, I thought it was about the weather. Nooooo.
This latest âPerfect Stormâ has been about the 2012 Notre Dame football season. Who would have ever thought the words âNational Championshipâ and âNotre Dameâ would be in the same sentence two months ago?
No one, not even the Leprechaun.
