WALKERTON â Siblings Patrick Luther and Jessica Beam are gearing up for the second year of âThe Walk of Nightmaresâ a haunted trail that theyâve spent years developing.
âThe haunted trail started as a Halloween party we threw annually,â said Luther. âEventually people just came to go on the trail.â
Luther and Beam decided to open the trail to the public last year. Thereâs no cost to attend, but Luther hopes that the trail will create awareness of his fledgling company, Room 47 Productions.
PLYMOUTH â A rough second game doomed an otherwise valiant effort for Plymouthâs Lady Pilgrims as they fell to class 3A No. 6 ranked Mishawaka Marian in three games 25-20, 25-12, 25-22 in the opener of the Plymouth Sectional.
The loss also ends an impressive 11 game season-ending win streak for the Lady Pilgrims, who came out of the locker room as if they might be able to extend it to 12.
CULVER â Itâs never too late in the season to do a little team-building, especially with a new lineup.
After pulling freshman Jaela Meister up from the JV and moving players around in the lineup late in the season, Tritonâs volleyball team took advantage of a day off before its Sectional 51 opener with South Central at Culver.
The Lady Trojans hung out, relaxed, even had lunch together.
That bonding time paid big dividends Tuesday night as Tritonâs players gelled for a 25-23, 25-19, 25-22 sectional-opening win over the Satellites to advance to Saturdayâs semifinals.
PLYMOUTH â While itâs unlikely that either team will ditch the playbook for a new one this week, the approach to this weeks version of Plymouth vs. NorthWood will be different mostly from the mental approach.
âThis is a first for us,â said Plymouth Head Coach John Barron. âWeâve never played a team back to back. Weâve played them two or three weeks apart but never back to back. As a (coaching) staff we just went through film, looked at the things we did well, looked at the things they did well, thought about what we think they might change and came up with a plan.
