PLYMOUTH - An area group is hoping to provide tools for Marshall County residents to help law enforcement take a bite out of crime.
The Marshall County Drug Free Committee in conjunction with Plymouth FOP Lodge #195 is producing a âHot Spot Cardâ to allow residents to provide tips to the Marshall County Drug Task Force anonymously. Any resident can fill out the card and simply drop it in the mail. Postage is paid and the tips are followed up on by investigators.

MARSHALL CO. â A practice that started in the late 1980s will not be allowed in some public hunting areas this year, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources this week.
Bonus antlerless permits â which allow hunters to take additional female deer to keep population down â will no longer be valid in Menominee Wetlands Conservation near Plymouth or Maxinkuckee Wetlands Conservation near Culver.
John Glennâs Luke Runyan capped off his cross country season with a 59th place finish in a time of 16:20.1 at the Boys State Cross Country Finals Saturday.
John Glenn's Derek Hiler finished with 73 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and two TDs as Glenn closed out its season with a sectional loss at Mishawaka Marian Friday.

Hodges has big day in 2nd straight Wabash shutout
Wabash Collegeâs football team scored its second straight shutout with a 28-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan Saturday.
It was the first consecutive shutout for the Little Giants after a 3-0 win over Wooster the previous weekend.
Plymouth product Houston Hodges broke a 0-0 first half stalemate with a 82-yard touchdown reception from Chase Belton that gave Wabash a 7-0 lead with the extra-point kick from fellow Rockies alum Brock Smith at the 5:55 mark of the third quarter.

She is survived by her husband, Don; her daughter, Savannah Jo Boone; mother, Linda Barker of Bloomfield; father, Larry (Delores) Greathouse of Fishers; a sister, Cindy (Nathan) Schulte of Bloomfield; a brother, Anthony (Lexi) Greathouse of Monticello; and two stepdaughters, Ashley Boone and Lindsay Boone. Survivors include: one son, Joe (Libby) Clemons of Argos; two daughters, Judy Cook of Ft. Wayne and Janice (Jerry) Salyers of Knox; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Rees of Sun City, Ariz. and one brother, Wayne Alberding of North Judson.

Richard had a variety of passions, and he put his heart and soul into everything he did. He never shied away from helping anyone and was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed it.

BOURBON â Kenneth âBuzzâ Keller Sr., 84 of Bourbon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at 6:37 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital.
Kenneth was born April 12, 1928 at Hobart to William Keller and Rose Block Keller. He was a graduate of Hobart High School and furthered his education at Ball State University and received a masterâs degree at Valparaiso University.

BOURBON â A memorial service for Nancy Baker Eby Marcusson (March, 1925 - June, 2012), will be held at Parks Cemetery in Bourbon Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. According to Nancyâs wishes, her ashes will be interred in the Baker family plot. Anyone who remembers Nancy, a native of Bourbon, and would like to join her family in honoring her memory, is invited to attend.
