PLYMOUTH â During the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting last night, Plymouth Utility Superintendent, Donnie Davidson, reported some damage to a well at the Ledyard Water Plant.
Davidson said, âWe had some pretty severe lightning damage.â

WALKERTON âÂ Melba L. Reese, age 85, of 500 Walkerton Trail, Walkerton, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, atÂ Millerâs Merry Manor, Walkerton.
Melba was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Lowland, N.C., to James and Mattie (Lewis) Lupton. Melba became the bride of Robert Reese July 26, 1946, in a ceremony that took place in Norfolk, Va. Robert passed away July 8, 1998. Robert and Melba moved to Tyner, in October of 1951.

DELONG âÂ Christine âTinaâ Allen went home to be with her Lord Aug. 20. She was born Christine Carol Clingler Dec. 16, 1966 and brought home from the hospital in a Christmas stocking symbolizing the wonderful gift she was to her family, friends, and all who knew her.

GOSHEN âÂ Phillip James Lindenman died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at IU Health Goshen Hospital at the age of 63.
He was born Feb. 8, 1948. He led an active life as a farmer, agriculture consultant, agriculture educator, FFA advisor and 4-H leader. He had taught agricultural sciences at Argos High School four years then worked for Farm Bureau and developed an agriculture consulting business. He later returned to teaching agriculture-related classes at NorthWood High School for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert B. Wardle; daughters, Terri Lea (Clint) Fairchild of Monticello, Ky. and Paula Jo (Michael) Garybush of Audubon, Pa.; son, Robert P. Wardle of Plainwell, Mich.; one granddaughter; brother, Larry (Janice) Fisher of Plymouth; and sisters, Sheryl (John) Milner of New Carlisle and Linda (David) Nolte of Dickson, Tenn.

WALKERTON âÂ Delores M. Yelton, 77, of Walkerton and formerly of Union Mills, passed away peacefully at 6:37 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
She was born July 31, 1934 in Walkerton to Joseph F. and Eva I. (Pearish) Cripe.
Feb. 13, 1954 in LaPorte, she married Paul E. Yelton, who survives.
Rev. Ned A. Meckstroth

PLYMOUTH âÂ Rev. Ned A. Meckstroth, 79, passed away at his residence Friday evening of natural causes. A resident of Plymouth since 1969, Ned and his wife Jo Ann have resided at the Millerâs Assisted Living since 2006.
He was born the son of Rev. Arnold W. and Martha (Katterhenry) Meckstroth Oct. 9, 1931 in Apple Creek, Ohio.
Ned graduated from Collinwood High School in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. He then graduated from Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Grove, Mo. and was ordained in 1959.
PLYMOUTH â Fans will help the Rockies rock on at the teamâs home opener Friday night.
The Plymouth Alumni Association will host WTCAâs pre and post game shows under the tent at âThe Rockâ Friday with a little help from special musical guest The Charles Dalton Band. The party starts at 5:15 p.m. before Plymouth takes on Rochester in their first home football game of the new season.
