The fact that Herb Kilber of Culver is participating in the USA Roller Sports National Indoor Speed Championships in Fort Wayne later this month is noteworthy. The fact that he’s 76 years old is all the more unusual.

LAKEVILLE — With an Aug. 2 school registration date for LaVille Elementary School, the expanded parking lot project and restoration of the current parking lot already in progress must continue to move forward.
According to Principal John Farthing, Phend & Brown contractors have assured him that the paving, striping and drying process will be completed by the registration deadline.

PLYMOUTH — Delays in the 13th Road bridge project have begun to draw fire from county officials as the project officially passed its first extended completion deadline Monday.
Jeff Million of DLZ, the supervising engineer for the county on the troubled project, told the Marshall County Commissioners the contractor, Isom Construction, was aware that they were “…under the gun,” drawing the comment from President of the Commissioners Kevin Overmyer that “…They were under the gun the day they moved in here and it’s all because of things they’ve done.”
