Plymouth doctor uses new technology to replace knees

PLYMOUTH — Grovertown resident Yvonne Daley, a Head Start teacher, knew she had to do something about the pain in her knees in 2009. She had been taking anti-inflammatory medication and pain pills prescribed by her regular doctor for several years, but at that point there was nothing else he could do for her.
“The pain just gradually got worse and worse,” said Daley, adding that it was during a Cub Scout trip with her son that the pain became unbearable.

Farmer's market appeals to organic food customers

PLYMOUTH — Summer is in full swing, and so is business at the Plymouth Farmers’ Market.
An average of 30 venders set up their wares on the corner of Garro and River street each Saturday morning, with offerings such as produce, meat, plants, baked goods, and natural handmade crafts. Bob Yoder, of the Marshall County Purdue Extension, said that the farmer’s market could appeal especially to those interested in organically grown food.

Study on county dispatch center urged by Council

PLYMOUTH — A unified county dispatch center for all emergency personnel will be the study of a joint committee in Marshall County.
The Marshall County Council started the ball rolling on the project after hearing from Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin and City of Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter. Chamberlin was before the Council to discuss funding possibilities to make up shortfalls in the counties 911 and dispatch budgets.
