Women's Connection hosts 'Hoping for Spring' May 4

LAPAZ — Women's Connection will host "Hoping for Spring" Wednesday, May 4 at 11:30 a.m. at Occasion's Banquet Hall, LaPaz. The meal and presentations are included in the $8.50 cost. Speakers include Karen Ferguson and Mary Brown, and musical guests are Ali Dimmitt and Amber Jenney, Argos music students.

40th annual historical society dinner May 17

PLYMOUTH — The Marshall County Historical Society is holding its 40th annual dinner Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at Christos Banquet Center. The dinner will feature Theodore Roosevelt (as performed by Gib Young). For more information about historical interpreter Gib Young, visit www.trlive1915.com online.

Lady Pilgrims top Tigers

PLYMOUTH — The rivalry between Plymouth and Warsaw is always intense, but given the conference ramifications of Wednesday’s girls tennis meet between the two teams, the competition was fierce.
The Lady Pilgrims hit the courts focused and kept a little cooler under pressure to edge out the visiting Tigers 3-2 and take the driver’s seat in the Northern Lakes Conference round robin standings at Plymouth.
