April 14, 2011

PLYMOUTH — The annual Marshall County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner held Wednesday night gave Master of Ceremonies Dean Colvin an opportunity to thank those currently running for an elected office and acknowledge the many loyal Republicans who have led or supported the party in the past.
Speaking to a large crowd assembled at Christos’ Banquet Hall, Colvin said, “One of the things about Republicans is the work that is done behind the scenes by the ‘foot soldiers.’”

April 14, 2011

BREMEN — After a disappointing home loss to Triton last Friday, the Pilgrims were hoping for a strong showing this week.
They’re off to a good start.
Plymouth scored four runs in the top of the first and added on scores in all but two innings, while junior lefty Jordan Scheetz scattered five hits for two runs in five frames of work on the mound as the Pilgrims beat Bremen 12-4 on the road Wednesday.
It was Plymouth’s second road victory in two games after a win at Rochester Tuesday night.
