BREMEN — The HorseSaddleShop Outlet, located at 1205 W. Plymouth St. between Family Dollar and Curves, will host its grand opening March 26. The outlet specializes in used saddles, western wear, horse tack and western décor. The grand opening will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, free refreshments, giveaways and special sales prices.
The HorseSaddleShop Outlet is an extension of HorseSaddleShop.com. The Internet business began in 2000 and has become one of the top western sites on the web. The outlet strives to bring the benefits of a big store into a small town.Â
Culver Young Farmers are coordinating a food drive to help those in the community in need of help to feed their families.
In recent years the Culver Young Farmers have supported the food pantries of Culver, Argos, Mentone, and Plymouth. But local farm woman Kaye Schultz of Culver had another vision. She proposed that her chapter spearhead a county-wide food drive, utilizing the Ag Day Committee, members of 4-H and FFA, the Marshall County Farm Bureau and Beacon Credit Union.
CULVER — Columbia City may not look like the biggest, most athletic team on the block, but Culver Military coach Mark Galloway knows appearances can be deceiving.
As a former Carmel coach, the first-year CMA skipper has squared off against Columbia City coach Chris Benedict before during summer league play, and he knows Benedict’s team will be ready as the two teams battle in an Eagles vs. Eagles match-up at the Class 3A at Huntington North basketball semistate at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
