ROCHESTER — Wrestling regionals convene around the state this weekend, and many area wrestlers are hoping to make Saturday’s stop at Rochester the next in a long journey toward the podium at state.
DONALDSON — Ancilla College women’s basketball player Shalana Murray was selected as a co-recipient of the NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Award for January 26.
A 5-foot-11 forward, Murray posted a pair of double-doubles on January 19 and January 22 against Grand Rapids Community College and Kellogg Community College, respectively.
Murray put up 16 points and 16 rebounds in a 61-55 victory over Grand Rapids at home, followed by a 10 point, 15-rebound performance in a 54-52 victory at Kellogg.
When beloved, life-long Culver businessman and community servant Bill Snyder died last year, his family knew they wanted to do something to thank the staff and administration at Miller's Merry manor nursing home in Culver not only for all they did for Snyder, but for all they do in general. Recently that appreciation manifested itself tangibly in a large, brand-new, flat-screen television for use in Millers' dining room, something which will benefit all residents as well as staff.
