BOURBON â€” Thelma Janet Hall, 97, of Bourbon passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at home in the care of her family and Hospice.
Thelma was born the daughter of Urben Roahrig and Coral Banks Roahrig Nov. 27, 1914 at Bourbon. She was a resident of Bourbon all her life. She was a 1932 graduate of Bourbon High School. She was a homemaker, farmerâ€™s wife and owned Hallâ€™s Western Store of Bourbon for many years. She also worked at GMAC Associates of South Bend.

Gene Curtis, 81, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend went to be with the Lord peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at 4:55 a.m. in Hospice House, South Bend. Gene was born Sept. 11, 1930 to Audley and Bessie (Anderson) Curtis. His parents and brother, Audley, Jr. preceded him in death.

Rockies lose close match at NorthWood
Plymouth lost a Northern Lakes Conference heartbreaker at NorthWood Thursday, 37-31.
The Rockies forfeited at 119 pounds, and NorthWood won at four straight weight classes from 135 to 152, including three by pinfall and one by major decision.
NorthWoodâ€™s A.J. Carter also eked out a narrow 3-2 decision at 189 pounds to preserve the Panthers team win.
Plymouth had pinfall victories from John Mills at 103, Solis Osman at 112, Steven Abair at 130 and Vicente Vasquez at 160, while Kam Markovich won a major decision at 125.
