The Fulton County court has given some insight into the events of last Tuesday, Nov. 22, when police say murder suspects Roy Bell, William Scroggs, and Jason Miller robbed and killed 81 year old Wilma Upsall in her home near Leiters Ford. The event led to a tense manhunt Wednesday night through Friday afternoon in the Culver and Monterey area, during which all three were eventually captured and transported to the Fulton County jail in Rochester.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory until 1 a.m. Wednesday. Rain may mix with sleet then change to snow by mid afternoon. Snow will continue until midnight, with a total of 6 inches predicted.
Hazardous travel conditions are likely for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. Heavy wet snow and windy conditions this evening may lead to scattered power outages. Roads may be icy, and caution while traveling is advised.

Clyde Avery, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency director, reported that a flood warning and a winter storm watch are in effect through Tuesday evening.
"We are looking at between four and eight inches of (snow) accumulation," said Avery Tuesday morning.
If snow arrives as predicted, this could be the area's first significant snowfall.
"Make sure your cars are prepared for a storm," advised Avery. "Have an emergency kit, salt or sand, and a shovel."

Stores discuss the aftermath of the biggest shopping weekend of the year
PLYMOUTH — It’s been well publicized that large chain stores such as Best Buy and Target continue to open their Black Friday sales earlier and earlier — this year some deals began as early as 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
“I think (those in retail believe) we are open quite a few days, and what’s another few hours?” said Plymouth Hallmark manager Chris Emerick.
These early openings have had a positive effect on smaller stores in the area, however.

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Common Council voted down a proposed ordinance that would have amended the salary ordinance for calendar years 2011 and 2012 concerning the position of Recreation /Pool Director for the Park Department. The ordinance would have meant changing the current status of a salaried position to an hourly position as well as establishing an hourly rate.

BOURBON — Triton’s best offense was a good defense Monday night.
The Lady Trojans used the press to generate some fast break offense in the second half, rallying past visiting Bethany Christian for a 38-32 victory at home at the Trojan Trench.
