Lions crowned king of NSC with win over Glenn

BREMEN — The Bremen High football team reached down deep into their bag of tricks Friday night.
Too bad Nate Leeper didn’t get a chance to see how well one of them turned out.
Before getting buried by a host of John Glenn defenders, the senior quarterback managed to get the football into the hands of Ethan Pike, who then avoided his own fair share of players to go 66 yards for what proved to the game-winning touchdown, lifting Bremen to a 35-31 win over the Falcons in a wild and crazy Northern State Conference affair at Don Bunge Field.

Rockies fall 21-8 at NorthWood

October 17, 2011

NAPPANEE — Between the distractions of Senior Night and Plymouth’s new offense, it took about a half for NorthWood to get rolling.
Bowling Green State recruit Coy Brown ran the ball seven straight times for 49 yards and a score at the 7:56 mark of the third quarter to give the host Panthers a 14-8 lead, and a fourth-quarter interception and 26-yard return by defensive back Brayden Troxel set up a three-play, 13-yard scoring drive that ended the Rockies hopes of a victory in a 21-8 regular season closer at NorthWood Friday night.
