WALKERTON â€” If their website is any indication, the proprietors of The Walk of Nightmares trail in Walkerton have more than a few scary moments planned for this Halloween weekend. And the best part? It's free.
"There's not a lot of free attractions in the area," said Jessica Beam, part of the Walk of Nightmares team. "(The staff) are all dedicated. Their sole purpose is to try to scare somebody, and you can guarantee that will happen. There's going to be something in there that will scare almost anybody."

PLYMOUTH â€” Two vehicles collided at S.R. 17 and Quince Road today just before 3 p.m. Local law enforcement responded to the scene and assisted three victims into ambulances. The incident is being investigated by the Indiana State Police.
The Bremen Kiwanis Clubs invite children from birth to fifth grade to attend the annual Halloween Party in the K-8 gymnasium. Carnival-style games will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by costume judging at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be available in the K-8 cafeteria, across the hall.

CULVER â€”Â Rosalie E. Lowry, 94, of Winona Lake, formerly of Culver, died Oct. 21, 2011 at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She is survived by a son, Mark (Sharon) Lowry of East Bernard, Texas; three daughters, Sally (Richard) Large of Cordova, Tenn., Judy (Carl) Wagoner of Leesburg, Martha (Marston) McGwin of Keokuk, Iowa; and 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Maxinkuckee IOOF Cemetery/Poplar Grove Church.

Don was born in Culver, June 19, 1929, to Fred and Lela Robinson Rans.

BREMEN â€”Â Robin L. Guard, 52, of Bremen died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at his sisterâ€™s residence in Plymouth.
Survivors include his six children, William (Bobbi) Guard, Jessie Shipley, Sammie (Tony) Bucci all of Nappanee, Robert Guard, Suzie Guard, Ryan Guard all of Culver; three sisters, Carol (Richard) Cartwright of Plymouth, Cheryl (Gene) Smirl of Alvin, Texas, April Samuels of Bremen; one brother, Roger (Shelly) Guard of Plymouth; a paternal grandmother, Lois Joslin of Bremen; and seven grandchildren.

STURGIS, Mich. â€”Â Dwight C. Hull, 89, of Sturgis, Mich. died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 at his home.
In 2007, Mr. Hull moved from Elkhart to Sturgis, Mich. and was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in LaGrange. He had worked as an Internal Auditor for The Associates of South Bend in South Bend and had been a school teacher.
Mr. Hull was born July 13, 1922 in Sandusky, Ohio to Harry and Louise (Wachtman) Hull. They preceded him in death.
