WALKERTON â Jim Blevins, 62, of Walkerton, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010.
He is survived by his mother, Louise Ellison of Hammond; a brother, William (Susan) Blevins of Stevenson, Ala.; a sister, Cathy Comforti of Hammond; a son, Scott Lindsey of Missouri; daughters, Lori (Mark) Landers of Decatur, Ala. and Mary (Tom) OâConnor of Koontz Lake; and four grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EDT) Thursday, Sept. 30 in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, 408 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton.
PLYMOUTH â Amramp, the newest division of Pathfinder Ser-vices, has partnered with Rebuilding Together in Plymouth for its non-profit efforts at comprehensive human and community development.
Rebuilding Together applied for a grant from the Marshall County Community Foundation to purchase materials to install a ramp for a Plymouth family and received the grant. The team worked to build a custom playhouse which was raffled at the Blueberry Festival to raise additional funds to build a ramp.

PLYMOUTH â Itâs been a fun ride according to Jeff Jones, President of Anco Office Products.
âBack when we opened, we had no outside commercial accounts,â he said âDad serviced our customersâ mechanical machines and I delivered most of the items on my Suzuki motorcycle!â
In 1975, Jones and his father bought out Anco Office Equipment on Water Street and moved to Michigan Street to the building formerly occupied by Plymouth Office Supply.

PLYMOUTH â The interpretation of the Indiana State codes concerning filing âconflict of interestâ statements prompted the Marshall County Democrat-ic Party to not only issue a press release Monday, but also to file an official complaint with the Marshall County Prosecutorâs office.
In its press release, the Democrats assert that current Marshall County Councilwoman Judith Stone, failed to file âconflict of interestâ statements concerning county projects and payments made to two companies (Custom Tower Sys-tems, Inc. and CTS Realty) in which Stoneâs husband has a 50 percent interest.

PLYMOUTH â Although many area yards had a crouton-like look and feel over the last six weeks, it has been a lucky summer for Marshall County and much of Northern Indiana.
Currently 54 Indiana counties were locked into active burn bans, while Marshall County entered fall without making the sizable list.
PLYMOUTH â It wasn't a win, but the Rockies refused to give up a loss on Senior Night.
NorthWood broke a 1-1 tie with a Trent Jacobs unassisted goal in the 77th minute resulting from some miscommunication in the Plymouth backfield, but the Rockies stayed composed, and Andrew Youst found the back of the net on a Francisco Jasso assist less than a minute later to force an eventual 2-2 Northern Lakes Conference tie at Kindt Field Tuesday.
PLYMOUTH â This week is a crucial week in Plymouth football.
âHopefully weâve learned that anybody can beat us,â said Plymouth Head Coach John Barron. âIf you donât make plays when youâre given opportunities youâre going to get beat.â
Wawasee made big plays when given the opportunity and put an end to a two-year regular season winning streak by the Rockies. The loss is a tough one, but the Rockies still control their own destiny in NLC play and have learned a few things in the process.
PLYMOUTH â A little enthusiasm can sometimes go a long way.
Plymouth showed that Tuesday as the Lady Pilgrims stayed up after a third-game loss to visiting John Glenn, rebounding quickly to put their guests down early in the fourth game and hold them off for a 25-12, 25-16, 23-25, 25-16 victory at The Rock.

PLYMOUTH â The Plymouth Country Club will become âMargariTATAvilleâ this year on Oct. 2 as Marshall Countyâs Ounce of Prevention Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser.
Fun is the theme for the evening as residents are invited to come share food and drink while raising money to fight breast cancer. The festivities begin at 6 p.m.
Tickets are available at Oliver Ford in Plymouth. The menu includes island food including Hot Mama salsa and chips, specialty drinks and contests such as Low-Down Limbo, TaTa Twist and coconut races.
