CULVER â€”Â F. William "Bill" Snyder, 79, of Culver, died Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Shirley) Snyder of Culver; daughters, Dr. Susan Snyder (Jim Kulesia) of Lafayette and Lynda (Galen) Hershberger of Middlebury; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as sisters Barbara (Ralph) Pedersen of Culver and Joanna (Virgil) McCann of Plymouth; and brother, Jim (Joyce) Snyder of Dixon, Ill.

The longtime John Glenn girls basketball coach and painter has created murals and floor art for numerous gymnasiums around the state â€” including, among many others, Northern State Conference schools John Glenn, Triton, Culver, LaVille, Knox and New Prairie â€” and Tuesday, he was honored with the 2010 NSC Service Award for that artwork and his many other contributions to the conference during a ceremony at Glenn.
A nearly packed house saw a musical homecoming for the holidays as Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra gave their high energy all in a Christmas show at Plymouth Wesleyan Church last night.
â€śAs always, it was really good to be home â€” and just great to be able to kick off our Christmas tour here at my home church,â€ť said Bierman. â€śI really canâ€™t thank everybody enough, all the people here in town that helped us make this possible. None of it could have happened without a lot of people helping us out.â€ť
