Grolich still serving the community

November 30, 2010

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth EMS/Fire Department may be losing an important employee, but they are gaining a key volunteer.
A seemingly permanent fixture in the Plymouth firehouse — Assistant Chief John Grolich — is looking at his retirement, but he is proof that public service is in his DNA.
“There is some traveling that my wife and I want to do, but I plan on staying on as a volunteer,” said Grolich. “I think I still have something to offer and I’m going to try to help as much as I can.”

PLYMOUTH — Only six years ago, the Plymouth Community Schools Corporation was on Title I school probation. Within two short years, they were off probation.

Thanks to the work of our administrators and teachers following the plan, today we are scoring some of the highest scores possible.”

Triton surges past Bethany Christian

November 30, 2010

GOSHEN — Locked in a 19-all tie at the half, Triton head coach Adam Heckaman decided to take a gamble in the second half.
Switch up to a man-to-man defense to deny easy buckets in the paint and take a chance against Bethany Christian senior small forward Marla ZumFelde.
The gamble worked as sophomore Shana Anderson held ZumFelde to just four of her game-high 14 points after the break, and the Lady Trojans surged past the host Bruins for a 50-39 win at Goshen Monday.
