PLYMOUTH â Pride for the United States and respect for those that serve or served it in the armed forces was shown Thursday during a Veterans Day ceremony held on the lawn of the Marshall County Courthouse at the memorial monument.
Congressman Joe Donnelly addresses the crowd of students, faculty, Veterans and general public Thursday during a Veterans Day program at Plymouth High School. With Donnelly is Ken Kunze, who received his Merchant Marines award from the Congressman.

DONALDSON â Ancilla College students, faculty, and staff took time out of their day to remember all veterans and currently enlisted soldiers in the armed forces as part of the Collegeâs Veterans Day observance.
A short prayer service was held outside the Donaldson-based College and was led by: Sr. Carleen Wrasman, PHJC; Lana Singleton, Advisor and Volleyball Coach; and Regina McClain, student and U.S. Armed Forces veteran.

SOUTH BEND â Dora M. Doerr, 88, of 1209 South 29th St., South Bend passed away at 6:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at her home.Â
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Fryfogle; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Bob (Phyllis) Overmeyer; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. A private family burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

PLYMOUTH â Brent L. Murphy, 58, of Plymouth was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
Brent was born Nov.24, 1951 in Plymouth to Otho L. & Bernice (Parker) Murphy. He married Judith L. Wright on July 18, 1971 in Idaville. She survives.
Brent enjoyed farming, gardening, landscaping and all of natureâs beauty, especially when camping. Brent and Judy spent 22 years dairy farming in Lakeville. They retired farming and he worked for Graphix Unlimited in Bremen from 1992 until October of 2010.

PLYMOUTH â Ruth I. Rensberger, 85, formerly of Windmill Park, Plymouth, a lifetime area resident, died in the Meadowvale Care Center in Bluffton, Ind. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at 6:45 a.m. She had resided with her sister Mary Alice Workman in Bluffton after experiencing failing health.
Born in Tyner, Ind. Jan. 5, 1925, she was the daughter of John and Ruby (Jones) Baker. She graduated from Tyner High School.
May 9, 1944, in Plymouth, Ruth and Herman C. Rensberger were married. Herman died May 18, 1999.

PLYMOUTH â Samuel C. âSamâ Johnson, age 77, of Windmill Drive, Plymouth, passed away at 5:58 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Sam was born Sept. 28, 1933, in North Liberty, to Samuel Milton and Leota (Guyse) Johnson. July 13, 1957, Sam married the former Alice Ottow in Donaldson. Together they raised their three children.
Sam was retired from roadway construction and concrete work. He enjoyed going bowling and going fishing. Sam had been a resident of the Marshall County area all of his life.Â

PLYMOUTH â James E. Moore, 81, Plymouth, died in the Bremen Community Hospital at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 of natural causes.
James was born in South Bend, May 29, 1929. He was the son of Marvin F. and Zeffa R. (Conklin) Moore.
April 14, 1953, he married Mildred Huff in the Trinity United Methodist Church, Plymouth.

ROCHESTER â Mildred F. Elliott, 91, of Rochester, died at 6:58 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.     Â
She is survived by a daughter, Janelle (Richard âDickâ) Smith of Rochester; sons, Fred A. (Joyce) Jones of Rochester and David Lee (Becky) Jones and of Florida; stepson, Bob Elliott of White Pigeon, Mich.; stepdaughter, Becky Bingaman of Three Rivers, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
