Zehner has perspective in fight with cancer

PLYMOUTH — A visit for stomach pain turned into surgery.
That is the story of Don Zehner, who thought he might need a doctor’s prescription for some stomach pain and hours after his appointment with his doctor found himself in surgery.
“Looking back on it, I probably would have liked the ability to take some time before surgery,” he said. “I came in having a little gastrointestinal pain – three days later I was still in critical care – four days after that I was still on a feeding tube.”

ENL/Migrant Education discussed at Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth School Board heard a report on ENL (English as a Native Language)/ Migrant Education Thursday.
Presenting the information was Jeni Hirschy who serves as the assistant principal at Riverside and also heads up the ENL/Migrant programs within the corporation.

Plymouth squeeks past Dragons at Argos Sectional semi

ARGOS — Plymouth squeaked past Argos, while Culver Girls Academy routed LaVille to set up a Lady Rockies-Eagles championship at the Argos Girls Soccer Sectional Semifinals Thursday at Eugene Snyder Field.

Trisha Neidlinger switched from the backfield to forward, and history repeated itself as the senior scored the game-winner for a 2-1 Plymouth win in a classic back-and-forth battle between the Rockies and the Dragons.
Actually Neidlinger scored both of Plymouth's goals Thursday.

CGA routs LaVille 7-0 in Argos Sectional semi

ARGOS — Plymouth squeaked past Argos, while Culver Girls Academy routed LaVille to set up a Lady Rockies-Eagles championship at the Argos Girls Soccer Sectional Semifinals Thursday at Eugene Snyder Field.
CGA 7, ARGOS 0
Culver Girls Academy used a deft passing game to outpossess the Lady Lancers and scored a clean-up goal off a deflection by LaVille goalkeeper Abbie McBride less than two minutes into the game to put the Lancers in the hole early.
